  1. I grow my vegetables and put all scraps in the compost pile. If the broccoli I grow takes minerals from my soil, I use broccoli in the compost to put it back. I say that if it grew here it stays here. I won’t send minerals to a landfill.

I agree 100% with breakfast being the most important meal of the day… However, I have seen a trend with more and more nutritionists and even doctors recommending skipping breakfast for optimal health. What is the science behind this? Is it nonsense? What are your opinions? I have lost considerable weight by having my large meal for lunch and a small dinner, walking 2+ hours a day, cutting out pork, sweets and wheat flour. I went from 162 lbs. to 120 in 4-5 months, I am 5ft 6in.

  18. Trying to educate grandchildren about healthy eating sets yourself up for a war with their mothers if like my daughter in law thinks they don’t need any vegetables or fruit because she gives them a bowl full of vitamins in the morning.

  19. I am 58, have fibromyalgia and Hashimoto's. I can't seem to find a way to lose weight. I have 20 pounds too many for my height: 5,2, 154 pounds. I eat only one main meal a day and a smoothie. I can't eat after 4 pm due to reflux. Frustrating.
