Matteo Jorgenson ‘within the place I wished to be in’ chasing Paris-Good win



It has been a really very long time since two riders from the USA have been atop the final classification in a European stage race, notably one of many status of Paris-Good. However on Friday, Matteo Jorgenson (Visma-Lease a Bike) made one huge step towards his purpose of successful the race.

Jorgenson attacked on the ultimate climb of stage 6, the Côte de la Colle-sur-Loup and was joined by compatriot Brandon McNulty (UAE Staff Emirates) and Mattias Skjelmose (Lidl-Trek). Whereas Skjelmose performed a tactical sport to win the stage, McNulty and Jorgenson had greater ambitions.
