‘Small milestones and slowly believing in myself’ – Jorgenson takes dream Paris-Good title

Not since 2006 has a rider from the USA taken the general victory at Paris-Good till Matteo Jorgenson (Visma-Lease a Bike) exceeded his personal expectations and did simply that after a gorgeous day of racing on stage 8.

The 24-year-old American was each bit stage winner Remco Evenepoel’s (Soudal-QuickStep) equal on every of the 5 climbs that lined the 109km route round Good. Even three stinging assaults on the Côte de Peille from the previous World Champion couldn’t shake the resolute Visma-Lease a Bike man.
